Location: San Martin, Peru.
In the upper Amazon region of Peru, the Bosque Guardián association operates in the Tiraco River valley, consistently reclaiming land from cattle incursions, logging, and other human destruction. The organization reforests these areas with native species while protecting the primary forest, promoting economic and social alternatives. This approach discourages poaching and logging, and fosters environmental education, scientific research, and artistic activities, enhancing understanding of this part of the Amazon.
